Passed away on 2 April 2019
Late of Lower Hutt
Aged 52 years
CAMERON, Cath (Catherine) Helen, (nee Everson):on 2 April 2019 suddenly at Wellington Hospital. Deeply loved wife and best friend of Chris Cameron, beloved mum of Ant Everson and Dalton Cameron. Devoted and loved Nana Cath to Ashton and Zane Everson. Loved sister of Ian, aunt for Mikayla and daughter of Les and the late Janet Everson. She was taken from us too soon and will always be in our hearts.
On 29 March, 2019, we picked up “Pixie Floof”, from her doggie mum and dad’s place. We stopped at the hospital to show Cath and she was so happy to see her, and excited about coming home the next day to spend time with her!

I was saddened and shocked to receive the news of Cath's sudden passing, how could she, she was so full of life, so generous, too young and so vibrant.

I've only known Cath and Chris for a relatively short time but we became friends almost instantaneously. On one of their earlier Sunday coffee morning visits to the gallery, Cath's quirky sense of humour was exposed when she suggested a fun prank. They hatched a plan for Cath to pretend that she was abducting our facebook celebrity and mascot, Batholemnew, (a painted sheep sculpture). Chris took photos of her walking away from the gallery with Bartholemnew tucked under her arms. - just my kind of humour, I thought, When this was posted on facebook with the caption 'Do you know this person?' the post went viral and the response was hilarious, we had to quickly reassure people that everything was OK. my kind of friends. I'll miss the fun and laughter of Caths visits, it was an honor to have known her although far to short.

My thoughts are with you Chris and family during this hard time, I know how much you loved and cared for her and she treasured you by her side.

I am absolutely stunned and shocked to have received the news today that Cath had passed away.
We go a long way back, meeting many moons ago at Kamahi School and continuing onto Taita Intermediate then Taita College. We have some amazing memories of growing up together. We reconnected again a lot of years later through Facebook and have kept in touch that way.
Am at a loss as to what to say, you just don’t expect to get messages with this sort of news for someone so young and full of life. Condolences go out to Ant, Dalton and Chris.
As I live in Australia I won’t be able to attend Cath’s funeral but my thoughts are with her family at this sad time.
Rest easy with the angels, your mum will be waiting for you xx
