Mum and Dad at Pelorous Bridge sometime in the early 1990's Not sure where this is but no doubt on one of our great summer holiday advertures, around the late 1970's Dad at Castlepoint, a favourite spot to visit. Dear Barrie.
I said it all to you last week and I am so glad to have had that time with you.
But I'll say it again.
Thank you for being a wonderful father-in-law and later, one I called friend.
Thank you for being Caleb and Ceridwens grandad.
We always had a mutual fondness and respect for each other.
I'm so grateful I made you smile when I last saw you....by saying...

Message to Kathleen and family from Bill and Wendy Bennett:
We and many colleagues in Hawke's Bay and Gisborne remember with great affection Barrie's ministry in the Diocese of Waiapu. He was Senior Student at St John's College in the last year of his theological training. He had a deep enquiring mind about life and its meaning, much of which came out in his own autobiography he later wrote.
Kathleen, we send our love and sympathy as we remember a man who was always searching.
